These have got to be the best pets ever! We found out that the larva was going to be available for 100 Yen at the Japanense department store today- when we got there it seemed they were out but it ended up being that they were FREE! So we left with 2 stag beetle larva and about $18 of supplies we purchased for them. These are the easiest pets to take care of- just spray with water, feed them some little jellies and put a bug trap in the cage and they are good to go. Once we find out what we have then we will know if we need to seperate them or not. The one time we had a male and a female the female killed the male. I guess we know who the stonger sex is! Here are some pictures of the stuff we got- everything in Japan seems to come in sets, it is soooo cute! the beetles look like they are having lots of fun in the picture :)
